Under General Supervision of the Accounts Receivable Supervisor, the Accounts Receivable Associate (Level II) is responsible for the receipt and accounting of funds received. The Accounts Receivable Associate ensures invoices are accurate and proper accounting procedures are adhered to record the receipt of payment for goods and services.

Responsibilities:

• Records payments received from customers accurately and timely.

• Researches and solves payment discrepancies.

• Handles adjustments to accounts as needed.

• Reconciles the accounts receivable ledger to ensure that all payments are recorded properly.

• Communicates with Credit and Customer Service departments concerning unauthorized deductions, overpayments, or other payment issues on customers' account.

• Verifies open issues with any purchasing write off request and aids with the completion of month end reports.

• Assists in training of new Accounts Receivable Associates (Level I).

• Completes posting of credit card payments to accounts.

Qualifications:

• High School or GED diploma, required.

• 3+ years of experience in a role of similar scope, required.

• Beginner to intermediate Excel skills.

• Must be detailed oriented and have strong organizational skills.

• Strong problem solving and decision-making skills.

• Possess strong interpersonal skills to build productive internal/external working relationships.

• Basic math knowledge and 10 Key skill required.

• Strong written skills for email and written follow-up correspondence

• Working knowledge of AS400 systems preferred, but not required.
