Job Description

As the  Accounts Receivable Specialist , you will join our dynamic accounting team that is rapidly growing. The candidate will generate and send customer invoices, statements, and payment reminders.

Responsibilities:

• Prepare, post, verify, and record customer payments
• Review accounts on a weekly basis to assess aging and pursue collection of funds
• Research customer deductions and verify there accuracy
• Update and maintain customer master files
• Research invoice discrepancies (price, quantity, other) with appropriate functional team member
• Establish and maintain relationships with new and existing customers
• Meet monthly close deadlines
• Handle customer collections, record payments, and inquiries
• Ad-hoc reports upon request
• Other duties as assigned

Qualifications:

• Associates Degree or higher preferred
• 3-5+ years of accounts receivable experience
• Must have knowledge of QuickBooks and Microsoft Dynamics
• Understanding of accounting
• Experience with Microsoft Excel, Word and Outlook
• Strong attention to detail
• Positive and energetic attitude
• High sense of urgency
• Ability to prioritize and to manage multiple projects simultaneously
• Motivated, self-starter that can also work as part of a team
• Resourceful and curious mind to investigate issues
• Prior food or beverage sector or manufacturing experience highly preferred
