This is an exciting opportunity to join a leading company in the construction industry and make a significant impact on our business's success. The selected candidate will be responsible for providing accurate and competitive cost estimates for various construction projects, from the initial bid to the final execution. The ideal candidate will have a thorough understanding of construction methods, materials, and the cost involved. This role requires a deep understanding of the construction process and a keen eye for detail. Responsibilities:

1. Analyze and comprehend project specifications, drawings, proposals, and other documentation to prepare time, cost, materials, and labor estimates.
2. Prepare detailed estimates in a timely manner for the project assigned.
3. Select the appropriate bid list for projects, ensuring we are competitive in the markets served.
4. Evaluate and manage the process of Requests for Information (RFI), Requests for Proposals (RFP), and other client interactions.
5. Attend pre-bid meetings, site visits, and client meetings as required to understand and capture the scope of work effectively.
6. Develop and maintain relationships with subcontractor and vendor partnerships to obtain competitive pricing.
7. Review and understand all contract terms and conditions, project schedules, potential risks, and profitability.
8. Develop Rough Order of Magnitude (ROM) estimates to assist in decision making.
9. Collaborate with project management teams to follow-up on bids and budgets to close the business.

Qualifications:

1. A minimum of 5 years of experience in construction estimating or a related field.
2. Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Construction Management, or related field is preferred.
3. Proficient in the use of estimating software and spreadsheet software.
4. Comprehensive understanding of the construction process, from design through construction and closeout.
5. Familiarity with Invitation to Bid (ITB) processes.
6. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build relationships with team members, clients, subcontractors, and vendors.
7. Strong analytical and critical thinking skills, with a high level of accuracy in calculations and attention to detail.
8. Ability to meet tight deadlines and adapt to changing priorities in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
9. Excellent organizational and time management skills.
10. Professional demeanor and ability to function effectively as part of a team.
11. Knowledge of applicable local, state, and federal building codes and regulations.
