Job Description
Pineywoods Christian Church is seeking God's guidance as we search for our next Senior Pastor.
We are an Independent, non-denominational, elder-led Christian church with a reformed background. The purpose of the congregation is to worship the Triune God and spread the love of Christ in accordance with "the Great Commission." (Matt 28:19-20).
We are seeking a Pastor who has a gifting in exegetical/expository preaching to be a shepherd to our congregation, become involved in the community, and help to bring new believers and families into the church.
Pineywoods was founded in 2022 as a satellite campus of another church and we became an independent entity in December of 2023 and have stood on our own believing that it is our calling to love Christ and love our neighbors. We do not judge nor do we make Christians. We open our doors, show God's love and let Him take care of the rest.
We are located in Livingston, Texas (a little more an hour north of the greater Houston area). Livingston is in beautiful East Texas and is the home of Lake Livingston. Excellent hunting and fishing in the area.
The position is bi-vocational initially (though we are able to offer a decent housing allowance).
