About Trinity:

Located in the heart of Oklahoma City near Edgemere Park and the Paseo Arts District, Trinity is a K–12 private school serving students with mild to moderate learning differences. Our educators thrive in a supportive environment with small class sizes, collaborative colleagues, and the freedom to innovate. We are looking for a candidate to fill in for our Bible Teacher who is on extended leave.

• The religious studies teacher designs hands-on projects and activities that reflect the
• school’s commitment to Judeo-Christian values and Scripture. The successful candidate
• demonstrates respect for the world’s major religions, understands the concept of
• sustainability that fosters awareness and respect for the natural world and our place in
• it, appreciates a sense of service rooted deeply in Christian principles, while recognizing
• and meeting the individual needs of each student at Trinity School.
• Foster a classroom culture that builds student confidence, autonomy, and a love of reading and writing.
• Evaluate and track student progress using rubrics, portfolios, and both formative and summative assessments.
• Collaborate with Division Heads, Academic Services, and Counseling to ensure comprehensive support for each student.
• Maintain consistent and proactive communication with families regarding student progress and goals.
• Participate in ongoing professional learning, department collaboration, and curriculum development.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree required; degree in English, Secondary Education, or a related field preferred.
• Valid Oklahoma Teaching Certificate required.
• 2–5 years of relevant teaching experience preferred, especially with students who have learning differences.
• Training or experience in Orton-Gillingham, Writing Workshop, or similar structured literacy approaches is a plus.
• Strong instructional and classroom management skills, especially in inclusive or differentiated settings.
• Proficiency with instructional technology (Google Classroom, Smartboards, digital writing tools).
