New Drivers (entry-level): Starting pay is $22.05/hour + 6 weeks of paid onsite and in-route training in our Transit buses. Get your CDL on us! We provide reimbursement for your CDL permit and CDL license with passenger and airbrake endorsement. Experienced Transit Drivers: Earn up to $23.55/hour, based upon relevant transit driving experience. Work a stable, full-time schedule throughout the year. Consistent schedules so you can plan your week in advance. Benefits that start within 60 days of hire. Overtime options are available! Enjoy 11 paid holidays, 3 personal days, and 16 paid vacation days in the first year of full-time employment with increasing accrual rates with years of service. Serve the community by sharing your knowledge of alternate routes/schedules throughout the county. Enjoy being "outside" with the comfort of air-conditioning on all buses. Minimum Qualifications: High School Diploma, or its equivalent. Valid Florida Driver's License at time of hire. Ability to obtain a Florida Commercial Driver's License (CDL), Class "B" with passenger and air-brake endorsement within 90 days. Physical Demands: May at times have to lift and or move up to 50 pounds. Subject to Passing Substance Screening: This position is subject to passing a pre-employment substance screening. An applicant who fails to pass a required drug screening test shall be disqualified from employment for a period of five years. Work Hours: Our operating times are 4:30 AM - 11:00 PM. Must be able to work flexible hours/days. Drivers may be expected to work any combination of hours from 4:00 AM to 11:30 PM, 7 days a week. Once a schedule is set for the bid period, it will be all mornings or all afternoons. We offer consistent shifts throughout each week so you will know your schedule in advance and will be able to plan around it.
