The candidate should have an entrepreneurial attitude and enthusiasm for business development and technical leadership, focusing on projects involving landfills, expansions, closures, post-closure monitoring, transfer stations, surface impoundments, geologic and hydrogeologic investigations, solid waste planning, litigation support, and other waste management systems. Essential Duties and Responsibilities Manage the delivery of multiple projects within scope, budget, and schedule, ensuring quality standards. Lead business development efforts, including acquiring new clients, maintaining existing relationships, proposal preparation, and developing business strategies. Manage and mentor staff at various career stages and oversee subcontractors. Oversee design activities for civil, landfill, stormwater, post-closure uses, and site layouts. Perform and review engineering analyses such as slope stability, hydrologic modeling, landfill gas modeling, seismic, and seepage analyses. Prepare permit applications, design calculations, drawings, technical specifications, and bid packages. Supervise field investigations, design, and construction quality assurance activities. Ensure compliance with local, state, and federal regulations related to solid waste, including RCRA and CERCLA. Education and Licensure Bachelor's degree in civil, environmental, or geotechnical engineering (required). Advanced degree (preferred). Professional registration (P.E.) (required). Skills, Experience, and Qualifications Minimum 8 years (10+ preferred) of relevant consulting experience or equivalent education and experience (required). Strong interest in solid waste management (required). Proven client development and management skills (required). Excellent oral and technical writing skills (required). Experience with modeling and design tools such as AutoCAD Civil3D, Fate Transport, Slope/W, Vadose/W, Sigma/W, and ArcGIS (preferred). Ability to obtain OSHA 40-hour HAZWOPER training (required). Valid U.S. driver’s license and satisfactory driving record (required).
