About the Role
The Company is seeking a Chief Financial Officer (CFO) to serve as a key partner in setting and achieving long-term financial goals. The CFO will be instrumental in guiding the company's financial strategy, driving growth, and ensuring the overall financial health and sustainability of the business. This role demands a seasoned leader who can balance high-level strategic planning with hands-on financial management, particularly in the areas of budgeting, planning, and data-driven decision-making. The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing all financial operations, including accounting, budgeting, cash flow, and tax compliance, and must have a strong background in financial leadership, preferably within a transportation or logistics setting. As the CFO, you will be expected to manage key external relationships, lead and develop the finance and accounting team, and promote a culture of accountability and continuous improvement. The ideal candidate will have a Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, or a related field, with an MBA or CPA strongly preferred, and at least 10 years of experience in advanced financial leadership. Experience in a privately held or family-owned business is also preferred. The role requires a strategic thinker with hands-on execution capabilities, strong emotional intelligence, and the ability to work collaboratively with various stakeholders. Responsibilities include identifying and addressing areas of overspending, driving automation, overseeing ERP system implementation, and evaluating strategic investment opportunities while mitigating financial and operational risks.
