About the Role
The Company is seeking a Chief Financial Officer (CFO) to join their leadership team. The CFO will be responsible for leading the finance and accounting functions, with a focus on overseeing the organization's annual budget and providing strategic financial guidance. This role requires a dynamic individual with a proven track record in finance, particularly in a multi-site or charter school environment. The CFO will serve as a thought partner to the CEO and leadership team, ensuring that financial decisions align with the organization's goals and values. Key responsibilities include managing the annual budgeting process, maintaining financial models, and leading the implementation of efficient financial systems. The ideal candidate will be a resourceful problem-solver, capable of making significant decisions with limited resources, and will have a steadfast commitment to serving low-income students. Candidates for the CFO position at the company must have a Bachelor's degree (CPA strongly preferred) and at least ten years of progressive experience in finance and accounting. Strong financial management skills, business acumen, and a background in non-profit finance are highly valued. The CFO will also be responsible for all accounting activities, ensuring compliance with GAAP standards and regulatory requirements, and leading a team of finance and accounting staff. A successful candidate will have a demonstrated ability to work independently, lead change management initiatives, and manage multiple projects effectively.
