Job Description

We are seeking a dedicated and talented Church Musician to lead our congregation in worship through music. This is a part-time position responsible for providing musical accompaniment for our weekly services and special events. We are a welcoming and supportive community, and we're looking for someone who is passionate about using their musical gifts to serve our church.

Responsibilities:

• Provide piano and/or organ accompaniment for all weekly Sunday services.
• Lead the congregation in singing hymns, praise songs, and other worship music.
• Work with the pastor to select appropriate music for each service, aligning with scripture and weekly themes.
• Lead and rehearse with the choir and/or praise team.
• Play for special services and events, including but not limited to Christmas Eve, Good Friday, and Easter.
• Maintain and care for the church's musical instruments.

Qualifications:

• Proven experience as a church musician, pianist, or organist.
• Proficiency in playing piano and/or organ is required.
• A solid understanding of a wide range of musical styles, from traditional hymns to contemporary worship music.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• A positive, flexible, and collaborative attitude.
• Commitment to the mission and values of our church.
