Job Overview

Spend a year in St. Louis on site for a commercial interior remodel. Ability to go home a few times a month. After project (1 year) work out of MN or IA.

Blue Harlan is the recruitment partner to a mid-size General Contractor with a TI project in St. Louis. Seeking a dedicated and experienced Superintendent to oversee this construction project estimated to take about 1 year. The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing all aspects of the construction process, ensuring that projects are completed on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards. This role requires strong leadership skills, a solid understanding of construction practices, and the ability to communicate effectively with various stakeholders.

Duties

• Coordinate and supervise daily construction activities on-site.
• Manage project schedules and ensure timely completion of tasks.
• Review schematics and blueprints to ensure compliance with design specifications.
• Utilize construction management software such as Prolog and HeavyBid for project tracking and reporting.
• Conduct regular quality control inspections to maintain high standards of workmanship.
• Collaborate with subcontractors, suppliers, and team members to facilitate smooth operations.
• Implement OSHA safety regulations to promote a safe working environment.
• Prepare and manage project budgets, ensuring cost-effective practices are followed.
• Provide training and guidance to junior staff and laborers on-site.

Skills

• Proficient in reading schematics and blueprints.
• Experience with construction management software including Prolog, HeavyBid, and Bluebeam.
• Strong knowledge of OSHA regulations and safety standards in construction.
• Excellent budgeting skills with experience in construction estimating.
• Ability to manage tenant improvement project simultaneously while maintaining attention to detail.
• Strong leadership qualities with effective communication skills for team collaboration.
• Commitment to quality control throughout all phases of the project.
