One of our companies is currently looking for a Contract AWS Backend Developer in United States .

This is a senior-level, fully remote contract position for a seasoned backend developer with strong Python skills and deep AWS experience. You’ll be part of a cross-functional team building cloud-native, AI-powered prototypes and automating them into scalable, production-ready solutions. The role requires 40 hours per week over a minimum of 12 months and includes close collaboration with US-based teammates, so some schedule overlap is expected. Accountabilities:

• Design, build, and maintain scalable, AWS-native backend infrastructure using services like Lambda, DynamoDB, SQS, and API Gateway
• Develop and deploy serverless applications, integrating third-party APIs and internal tools using Python
• Implement Infrastructure-as-Code practices with Terraform to manage and automate cloud resources
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to bring AI prototypes to life and scale them to production
• Contribute to team development through mentorship, technical guidance, and sharing best practices
• Maintain high standards of code quality, performance, and security while adapting to evolving business needs

• 5+ years of software development experience, with strong backend and cloud architecture skills
• 2+ years of hands-on experience working with AWS services and serverless architecture
• Expertise in Python and familiarity with API integrations and cloud-native application design
• Proficiency with Terraform and Docker for infrastructure automation and containerization
• Excellent collaboration and communication skills in a fully remote setting
• Availability to overlap with US working hours
• Bonus points for experience with React/Next.js, data engineering, or a personal interest in finance/investing

• Competitive hourly rate of $80—$110 USD, depending on experience
