We’re hiring! VCNY Home is seeking a trend-savvy Creative Design Manager to join our growing team. You’ll play a key role in identifying emerging trends through international travel, trade shows, and retail market analysis.

VCNY Home is a forward-thinking home textiles supplier offering modern designs for every lifestyle and budget. We specialize in various categories, including bedding, bath, window treatments, area rugs, home décor, table linens, and more. This is an on-site role based in North Bergen, NJ. Work from home on Fridays!

Only candidates located in NY or NJ will be considered.

Responsibilities

• Travel to Europe/Asia to identify emerging themes and new inspirations. This includes all international industry, appropriate trade shows and international comparative shopping.
• Responsible for shopping the retail markets seeking new trend ideas for Off Price retailers.
• Lead the research direction and development of seasonal trends.
• Responsible for line plan initiation and direction.
• Participate in customer presentations as needed.

Qualifications/Experience

• Bachelor’s Degree in Textile Design or related field
• Minimum 7+ years’ design experience in the home textile industry
• Proficient in Photoshop, illustrator
• Meticulous with a robust design sense
• Thorough knowledge and expertise of design & product development processes, including textiles and demonstrated expertise in color, fabric, pattern, and execution experience.
• Ability to thrive in a demanding environment.
• Flexibility and team-player mentality
• Effective communication skills -both verbal and written
• Elevated creative knowledge combined with good sense of fashion.
