The City of Orrville is seeking a full-time Custodian . This is custodial work cleaning and maintaining buildings, facilities, and grounds. Work involves the use of a variety of supplies and equipment to maintain assigned buildings and grounds in a neat, presentable and sanitary condition. This employee is responsible for carrying out work independently. The pay range is $21.16 to $26.43, plus benefits.
Qualifications: High school diploma or equivalent, some experience in custodial work, or any equivalent combination of experience and training which provides the required knowledge, abilities, and skills.
Military Credit: Applicants who have been honorably discharged from active duty in the armed forces of the United States are eligible to receive an additional credit of 10% if they receive a qualifying (passing) score of 70%. A copy of your DD-214 must be submitted along with the application. No credit will be given if the appropriate documentation is received after the deadline.

Exam Information: Exam will take place on Tuesday, July 8, 2025, at 6:00 pm at Schmid Hall, 501 Hall Street, Orrville, Ohio. Doors to the building will open at 5:50 pm and exam will start promptly at 6:00 pm . Allow 1 hour for exam.
To be admitted to the exam, you must show a valid Ohio Driver's License upon arrival. Calculators will be provided, if necessary. Please remember the date, time and location of the exam as you will not be given any other notice or reminder regarding this exam. The exam is open to all citizens and those who have legally declared their intentions of becoming citizens.
