Job Description

Candidates must reside in Florida and live within 75 miles of the Specialty location at 9310 Southpark Center Loop, Orlando FL, 32819. Work schedule is 40 hours per week, Monday - Sunday between 7:30am-10:30pm EST with a set schedule upon offer. The role is part of the Specialty Mail Order Pharmacy. Responsibilities include providing telephone support to patients receiving life sustaining specialty drug therapy, coordinating and processing new patient medication orders and reorders, verifying and reverifying benefits, entering new or refill prescriptions into the pharmacy information system, communicating and collecting copay amounts, obtaining authorizations, and working with insurance companies, healthcare providers and internal teams to resolve order issues. Strong communication skills are required to interact with insurance companies, patients, and internal partners to ensure timely processing of specialty medications and meeting financial and clinical expectations. Required qualifications include one year experience in customer service handling complex needs over the phone, experience with Windows-based applications, and keyboarding skills. Preferred qualifications include healthcare experience and familiarity with benefits, insurance, prescriptions, and medical terminology.
