KBR is looking for highly motivated rising Juniors, Seniors and Graduate students seeking business, science, and software development opportunities that provide challenging and meaningful work experience to be a part of our 2025 Intern class. Learn and apply state-of-the-art data science practices as a member of an interdisciplinary team. Use data science and statistical techniques to identify data of interest, extract structured data from unstructured sources, and apply other data wrangling patterns to make our corpus of data more useful. Apply techniques from natural language processing (NLP) to understand textual data, including named entity recognition, topic modeling, and sentiment analysis. Use neural networks and other machine learning (ML) techniques to find patterns in data and to predict likely outcomes using a variety of input data types and sources. Anticipated Skill Set: Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the willingness to learn. Strong communication and organizational skills, as well as the ability to work independently and as part of a team. Proficient in one or more programming languages for data manipulation and analysis, such as Python, R, SQL, C, C#, C++, etc. Proficient in MS Office Products (Word, Excel, PowerPoint). Experience retrieving and analyzing datasets from databases and other systems. Experience with various data visualization tools such as Tableau, Qlik Analytics, MS Power BI, Plotly, or Matplotlib. Experience with “big data” tools such as Hadoop, Spark, Kafka, Databricks, or Palantir Foundry is preferred. Ability to obtain a DoD security clearance is required to be considered for this position.
