Job Listing Summary Equity Research Analyst, SMID/MID Opportunistic Value Location: Boston, MA, United States Company: 10500 WMC Wellington Management Company LLP Employment Type: Full-Time Date Posted: July 10, 2025 Role Overview The Equity Research Analyst will join the SMID/MID Opportunistic Value Portfolio Management team, managing approximately $3.5 billion in value strategies. The role focuses on alpha generation and requires expertise in cyclical companies, particularly in industrials and materials. Key Responsibilities Conduct intensive fundamental research to select stocks bottom-up across small and mid-cap opportunities. Communicate findings and investment recommendations to the OppValue portfolio manager. Incorporate top-down perspectives such as sector and macro views into the investment process. Build strong relationships with colleagues and company management teams. Engage in open investment dialogue and challenge investment views. Required Experience Minimum of 10+ years of relevant experience as an investment analyst. Sector expertise in cyclicals (industrials and materials) preferred; generalist coverage will be considered. Strong track record of making successful investment recommendations and generating alpha. Qualifications Value investing acumen and passion for small and mid-cap stocks. Strong bottom-up fundamental approach to research. Proven ability to incorporate ESG into research methodology. Strong interpersonal and communication skills. Strong academic credentials; MBA/CFA preferred. Compensation Base salary range: USD 100,000 - 225,000, with additional compensation components including bonuses and a comprehensive benefits package.
