Job Title: Field Service Mechanic
Job Description

The Field Service Mechanic performs preventive maintenance, diagnoses, and executes advanced repairs on equipment at customer locations. The role is crucial in ensuring equipment operates safely and effectively, minimizing downtime. The fleet primarily includes Aerial Work Platforms, general construction tools, and equipment, with some locations also handling large-scale power-generators, pumps, HVAC systems, and oil/gas-related equipment.

Responsibilities

• Conduct preventive maintenance on a variety of equipment.
• Diagnose and perform advanced repairs on-site.
• Work independently to ensure equipment is operational and safe.
• Travel within a 4-hour radius of the designated area, with minimal overnight stays.

Essential Skills

• Proficiency in electrical testing and machine rewiring.
• Experience with hydraulic systems, including hose crimping and o-ring/seal replacement.
• Mechanical skills for fluid changes based on equipment usage.
• Troubleshooting skills for heavy equipment, diesel, and pneumatic systems.
• Competence in welding and electrical motor repair.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

• Must have a valid driver's license.
• Possess an insurable motor vehicle record (MVR).
• Own a comprehensive set of mechanic tools valued at approximately $10,000.

Work Environment

Work involves 50-60 hours per week during summer and 40-50 hours in winter. Typically, you will dispatch from home on a flexible schedule to meet client service times, generally starting around 7 AM and concluding around 5 PM, with adjustments for travel time. No CDL is required, but an insurable MVR is necessary. Uniforms are provided, and work is conducted at customer sites in varying weather conditions. Most Field Service Mechanics earn between $90,000 and $100,000 annually.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $62400.00 - $79040.00/yr.
