What you will do
An HVAC Selling Sales Manager at Johnson Controls is primarily responsible for driving sales within an assigned account base by directly engaging with customers, building strong relationships, presenting product solutions, negotiating deals, and managing the sales process from lead generation to closing, while also overseeing a team of sales representatives and ensuring they meet sales targets, all while staying updated on market trends and competitor activity; essentially combining a hands-on sales role with leadership responsibilities to maximize revenue generation for Johnson Controls' controls products and services. This is a hybrid role based in Austin, TX. Candidates must be commuting distance to the office, and/or willing to relocate.
How you will do it
Direct Sales Engagement: Actively prospect, qualify, and manage customer relationships to identify potential sales opportunities and close deals within assigned territory.
Sales Strategy Development: Collaborate with the sales team to develop and implement targeted sales strategies, including pricing and promotional plans, to achieve sales goals.
Product Expertise: Maintain in-depth knowledge of Johnson Controls' systems and solutions to effectively present value propositions to customers.
Lead Generation: Proactively identify and develop new sales leads through networking, market research, and customer outreach.
Customer Relationship Management: Foster strong customer relationships through regular communication, proactive problem-solving, and exceptional customer service.
Team Leadership: Coach, mentor, and motivate a team of sales representatives to maximize their individual performance and achieve collective sales targets.
Sales Reporting and Analysis: Track sales performance metrics, analyze data, and provide insights to inform sales strategies and identify areas for improvement.
Competitive Analysis: Monitor competitor activity and market trends to maintain a competitive edge and adjust sales strategies accordingly.
What you will need
Required
5+ years of success in a complex B2B sales environment, ideally within the Applied HVAC Equipment industry
Technical understanding of HVAC systems, building automation systems and HVAC technologies.
Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills to build rapport with clients and stakeholders.
Demonstrated ability to lead and motivate a sales team to achieve goals.
Proficiency in CRM systems and sales forecasting tools.
Bachelor's degree in engineering, business, or a related field.
