Job Title: Lockbox Remittance Specialist

Overview:

The Lockbox Remittance Specialist is responsible for servicing all aspects of commercial lockbox operations. This role ensures the accurate and timely processing of customer lockbox deposits while maintaining high standards of confidentiality and customer service.

Key Responsibilities:

• Primary Function:
• Operate the OPEX Falcon machine for the majority of the workday. This machine allows for seated document scanning and manual mail processing.
• Deposit Processing:
  • Receive and process lockbox deposits from various commercial clients.
  • Sort, open, and batch documents for processing.
  • Perform corrections and adjustments as needed.
  • Respond promptly to customer inquiries and conduct research related to lockbox transactions.
  • Accurately bill customers monthly based on services rendered.
  • Maintain strict confidentiality of customer account information and adhere to all policies and procedures.
  • Support additional commercial operations as required.

OPEX Machine Operations:

• OPEX Eagle:
  • Requires standing for extended periods (4+ hours).
  • Load sealed mail onto the conveyor belt.
  • Use touchscreen interface to assign jobs.
  • Machine opens envelopes and sorts contents based on predefined criteria.
• OPEX Falcon:
  • Allows for seated operation.
  • Manual mail opening and sorting.
  • Ideal for detailed document handling and scanning.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

• Experience:
  • Prior experience in lockbox, remittance, or deposit operations is required.
  • 1+ year of experience in retail banking or lockbox operations preferred.
• Knowledge & Abilities:
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Familiarity with banking regulations, policies, and procedures.
  • High attention to detail in document handling and data entry.
  • Ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines effectively.
• Technical Skills:
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
• Education:
  • High School diploma or equivalent required.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $18.50 - $18.50/hr.
