The candidate must have experience in managing patients in a critical care cardiac ICU unit. Specific management experience should include VA & VV ECMO, Impella, LVAD, and cardiac transplant. The position requires working three 13-hour shifts per week, with variability in scheduling that may include night shifts, weekends, and holidays. The Advanced Practice Provider will primarily manage high-velocity intensive care unit patients under the guidance of our Intensivist. Responsibilities include daily rounding, patient management, order entry, admissions, post-operative management, and performance of procedures such as arterial lines, central lines, Swan-Ganz catheter insertion, and IABP removal. Lunch hours are not included in worked hours; providers must log appropriate lunch breaks. The expected patient encounters per shift range from 8 to 12. The facility does not accept IMLC for this position. Credentialing may take 60 to 90 days. This facility operates at Trauma Level 1 and does not have a pediatric trauma level.
