1st Shift Machine Operator

What You'll Do as a 1st Shift Machine Operator:

As a 1st Shift Machine Operator, you will be responsible for setting up, operating, and maintaining a range of precision manufacturing equipment to produce high-quality parts according to specifications. Your key responsibilities will include:

• Machine Operation: Efficiently operate and monitor various machines including:
• CNC Machines: Loading programs, setting offsets, monitoring tool wear, and making minor adjustments.
• Milling Machines: Setting up fixtures, selecting tooling, and machining parts to tight tolerances.
• Laser Cutting Machines: Loading materials, setting parameters, and operating for precise cuts.
• Punch Presses: Setting up dies, loading material, and operating for forming and punching operations.

• Set-Up & Tooling: Performing machine setups, changing out tooling, and making necessary adjustments to ensure optimal performance.
• Quality Inspection: Conducting in-process and final quality checks using precision measuring tools (calipers, micrometers, gauges) to ensure parts meet blueprint specifications.
• Blueprint Reading: Accurately interpreting blueprints, technical drawings, and work orders.
• Material Handling: Loading and unloading raw materials and finished parts.
• Preventative Maintenance: Performing routine cleaning and basic preventative maintenance on machines.
• Troubleshooting: Identifying and resolving minor machine issues or production problems.
• Safety Compliance: Adhering strictly to all safety procedures and guidelines.
• Record Keeping: Completing production logs, quality control documents, and other required paperwork.

What We're Looking For (Skills & Qualifications):

• Experience: 2-5+ years of hands-on experience as a Machine Operator in a manufacturing environment, with demonstrated proficiency in at least two, preferably all, of the following:
• CNC Machine Operation (required)
• Milling Machine Operation
• Laser Cutting Machine Operation
• Punch Press Operation

• Technical Acumen: Strong understanding of machine capabilities, tooling, and materials.
• Blueprint Reading: Excellent ability to read and interpret complex blueprints, GD&T, and technical specifications.
• Precision Measurement: Proficient in using various precision measuring instruments (calipers, micrometers, depth gauges, height gauges).
• Problem-Solving: Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills to diagnose and resolve machine or quality issues.
• Attention to Detail: Meticulous attention to detail for producing high-quality, precise components.
• Work Ethic: Reliable, self-motivated, and able to work independently on 1st shift.
• Safety Conscious: Committed to following all safety protocols and maintaining a safe work environment.
• Physical Requirements: Ability to stand for extended periods, lift up to 50 lbs, and perform repetitive tasks.
• Education: High School Diploma or GED required.

Compensation / Pay Rate (Up to): $17.00
