The Role: Manual QA Engineer

We're building a brand-new QA team from the ground up, and youll be the second hire on this high-impact squad. Youll work closely with a QA Manager whos done it all (and seen it all) and is now crafting a best-in-class testing function inside a fast-growing tech team.

This role is mid-level perfect for someone with around 3+ years of experience whos looking for a growth path and a place to make their mark.

What You'll Be Doing

• Writing and executing manual test cases for complex web and mobile applications (iOS and Android)
• Partnering with product managers, developers, and other QA to validate requirements and uncover edge cases
• Reporting and tracking bugs using Jira or similar test management tools (Zephyr is a plus)
• Owning regression testing across multiple platforms especially in payroll and workforce management systems
• Participating in Agile ceremonies and helping us build out smarter, more scalable QA processes
• Helping us move toward automation, but knowing when manual testing is the best tool for the job

What We're Looking For

• 3+ years of hands-on manual QA experience in Agile environments
• Strong understanding of test case creation, bug tracking, and exploratory testing
• Solid mobile testing experience (both iOS and Android)
• Bonus points if youve worked with payroll or time-tracking systems
• A curious mindset, collaborative energy, and a strong eye for detail

Location and Workstyle

Were remote-friendly and distributed with team members across the U.S. and internationally. Flexibility is key here, but so is communication. We collaborate over video and async tools, so youll need to be proactive and communicative.

Compensation

• Salary range: $85,000 to $95,000, depending on experience
• Optional contract-to-hire structure available
• Excellent benefits if converted or hired directly
