About The Position

Our client is expanding their International Markets Analysis Team and seeking a talented Financial News Analyst/Editor to join them. In this remote, independent contractor (1099) position, you’ll collaborate with a global team to analyze and identify critical news stories that influence both individual stocks and broader market trends.

Position Details:

• Employment Type: Full-time, remote contract (1099) position

• Location: Work from your home office anywhere in the world. A quiet, dedicated workspace with a closing door is essential for focused work.

• Shifts Available:

  • EU Shift: 1:00 AM – 11:00 AM EST (6:00 AM - 4:00 PM GMT+1)

  • US Shift: 6:00 AM – 4:00 PM EST (3:00 AM – 1:00 PM PDT)

• Benefits: This contract position includes vacation and sick days

• Compensation: Competitive salary rate commensurate with your experience

Qualifications

Experience:

• 3-5 years of Equities experience as a Buy-Side or Sell-Side Trader

• Minimum of 5 years of overall financial experience

• Cross-asset class knowledge, including understanding how news flow impacts various markets

Education: Bachelor's degree from a recognized college or university

Core Competencies:

• Exceptional focus and ability to perform in a fast-paced environment

• Clear voice and precise pronunciation for audio commentary

• Brilliant, mature, collegial, high-energy, and intellectually curious mindset

• Ability to excel both independently and within a collaborative team setting

• Lightning-fast typing skills (essential for real-time analysis)

• International candidates are strongly encouraged to apply

Day-to-Day Responsibilities

You’ll work in a dynamic, fast-changing environment, continually monitoring market situations and analyzing real-time global events. Utilizing our client’s proprietary tools and systems, you’ll provide high-quality online news analysis, empowering clients to stay at the forefront of market developments. Comprehensive initial training will be provided to familiarize you with company policies and values.

Your primary daily activities will include:

• Producing written and online audio commentaries on overall market behavior, economic data, and related events

• Preparing research reports covering key events such as central bank interest rate decisions, government bond auctions, and major earnings announcements

• Monitoring economic trends and developments across diverse financial asset classes, including global equity indices, options, FX, and commodity markets

• Generating daily and weekly research reports, such as opening news briefs, economic data previews, and calendars
