New York Dental Affiliates (NYDA) is adding an Oral & Maxillofacial Surgeon to the group at NYC Health + Hospitals/Lincoln. The Hospital is part of NYC Health + Hospitals. Lincoln is a designated Level I Trauma and Stroke Center and has Centers of Excellence in all medical specialties including its award-winning Cancer and Breast Centers. The hospital maintains a strong academic affiliation with Weill Medical College of Cornell University to maintain its high healthcare delivery standards.

We are seeking a highly skilled oral and maxillofacial surgeon to diagnose patients and treat various conditions affecting the oral and maxillofacial regions. Responsibilities include:

• Direct supervision of OMFS resident staff.
• The candidate will be part of a growing OMFS Department that includes a strong infrastructure of support with the present attending staff in OMFS.
• Position requires fellowship training in Head and Neck, Microvascular, Craniofacial, and/or Cosmetic Surgery.

Qualifications

Preferred:

• Doctor of Dental Surgery (DDS) or Doctor of Medicine in Dentistry (DMD). MD degree preferred.
• Certified by The American Board of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery.
• Fellowship Certificate of training.

Required:

• Primary responsibilities include direct supervision of OMFS resident team.
• Participation in daily rounds of in-patients.
• Scholarly activity with resident education program and mentorship of research initiatives.
• Educational conferences and presentations to faculty and residents across all disciplines.
• Growth of Fellowship Division.
• Reconstructive surgery to treat congenital defects, structural abnormalities, and injuries.
• Collaborating with healthcare specialists to enhance Fellowship Program.
• Informing patients of their diagnoses and discussing appropriate treatment options with them.

Wages and Benefits include:

Annual Base Salary: $200,400 based on a 24-hour work week. Additional compensation available for extra call or sessional/per diem hours.

The annual total value of the compensation package is estimated at $269,940, which includes the baseline salary, 401(k) contribution, sessional/per diem hours, and other factors as set forth below:

• Estimated annual compensation for 17 weeks additional sessional/per diem/call hours worked per week is $25,500. This does not include weekend call.
• Projected bonus of up to $24,000 (based on previous years average), contingent upon meeting quality and productivity targets.
• 401(k) Company Contribution (subject to IRS contribution limits):
  • Employees are immediately vested in a 3% company contribution of base earnings. No employee match is required.
  • After one year of service, employees receive an additional 7% company contribution of base earnings. No employee match is required.
• Annual Continuing Medical Education (CME) Reimbursement.
• Generous Annual Paid Time Off (PTO): Vacation, Sick, Holiday, and CME days.
