Payroll Specialist (Temporary)

Salary: $33 - $35 / hour

Responsibilities:

• Process biweekly or semimonthly payroll for exempt and non-exempt employees
• Maintain payroll records and employee data (e.g., taxes, benefits, garnishments)
• Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local regulations
• Reconcile payroll reports and general ledger accounts
• Handle employee payroll inquiries and resolve discrepancies
• Assist with year-end reporting including W-2s and tax filings
• Support audits and provide payroll documentation as needed

Qualifications:

• 2+ years of payroll experience; multi-state preferred
• Knowledge of payroll laws and regulations
• Experience with payroll software (e.g., ADP, Paychex, Workday)
• Strong Excel skills and attention to detail
• Excellent communication and problem-solving skills
