We deliver secure, high-quality language access in more than 80 languages to USCIS and other federal agencies. We are seeking Punjabi Over-the-Phone Interpreters (OPI) to support our USCIS contract. This role provides real-time telephonic interpretation between Punjabi and English during immigration interviews, hearings, and official proceedings. Responsibilities Provide accurate and impartial Punjabi English interpretation for USCIS officers, applicants, and stakeholders. Interpret in immigration, legal, and administrative settings with professionalism. Adhere to USCIS/DHS confidentiality and compliance standards. Handle both scheduled and urgent OPI requests. Participate in required training, compliance refreshers, and quality assurance audits. Qualifications Native or near-native proficiency in Punjabi and English. 2+ years of professional interpreting experience (immigration, legal, medical, or government preferred). Familiarity with interpreter ethics and standards (NCIHC, ATA, or RID). Excellent telephone communication skills; ability to remain neutral and accurate. Must be a U.S. Citizen or permanent resident eligible for Tier 3/Tier 5 clearance. Compensation & Benefits Competitive pay: $25–30/hour. Remote work with secure USCIS-approved systems.
