Boothbay Fund Management, LLC is a multi-manager, multi-strategy firm with 100+ alternative asset managers trading strategies across asset classes globally. The firm launched its flagship strategy in 2014 and currently has over $2B under management. Primary office in NYC, with an additional office in Westchester County, NY. The firm emphasizes an entrepreneurial spirit and continuous improvement.

Role

We are seeking a Python developer to join our team. This role will be responsible for developing and maintaining Python applications throughout the firm. This is an excellent opportunity to grow skills in a collaborative environment while working on impactful projects.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain Python web applications and APIs used across the organization
• Work directly with end-users to gather and refine requirements
• Leverage AI coding tools to enhance productivity
• Write clean, maintainable, and efficient code following best practices
• Create, test, and deploy Airflow DAGs for data workflows
• Collaborate with a small development team on various projects
• Debug and resolve technical issues as they arise

Qualifications

• Minimum of 3 years of Django experience
• Experience with at least one REST API framework (FastAPI, Flask, Django)
• Working knowledge of SQL databases; MySQL preferred
• Familiarity with Linux environments
• Experience with Git and version control
• Strong problem-solving abilities and attention to detail
• Excellent communication skills for working with both technical and non-technical stakeholders
• Natural curiosity and willingness to continuously learn new technologies

Experience

• Python development minimum 4 years
• 2 years web development experience; React.js / TypeScript strongly preferred
• Prior experience in financial services is a plus

• NYC near Grand Central Terminal

Compensation package

• $125,000-$150,000
• Bonus opportunities
• 4 years minimum
