Base pay range

$250,000.00/yr - $350,000.00/yr

Company: Alternative Asset Manager with over $30B of AUM

Job title: Python Application Developer (Contract or perm)

Responsibilities

Execute on the Full life cycle of system development projects through agile/scrum process
Manage a portfolio of projects for the front office, and app migration from on-prem to the Cloud
Develop and maintain core applications used by the front office
Assist in designing the next generation of application architecture
Boost efficiency and code quality
Gather user requirements from the end users, and transform complex needs to high performing technical products

Qualifications

College Degree in computer science or other related degree
5+ years of development experience in a financial service company, ideally asset management
Must have experience in at least one asset class i.e fixed Income, commodities, Credit
Experience with developing large-scale Python applications using Python/Django and python libraries
Ability to write test cases and implement and design frameworks using PyTest, DocTest and Nose Tests
Ability to write high performing SQL queries, procs, tables and views
Experience with migrating and supporting applications from on-prem infrastructure to Cloud
