Job Title: QC Analyst

Location: Winchester, KY 40391 (Onsite)

Duration: 6 Months

Job Overview

The QC Analyst role is an entry-level, hands-on laboratory position responsible for performing routine and critical analytical testing to support quality control operations. The analyst will generate, analyze, and document data while ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements, company SOPs, and safety standards. This role supports testing of raw materials, in-process samples, finished goods, stability samples, and cleaning validation activities.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform accurate, efficient, and reliable analytical testing in accordance with USP, NF, EP, JP, FCC, and customer-specific methods.
• Conduct routine laboratory analyses, including but not limited to Dissolution, Titration, Polarimetry, Loss on Drying, Viscosity, Residue on Ignition, Heavy Metal Content, FTIR, HPLC, and GC.
• Maintain complete, accurate, and contemporaneous documentation of all laboratory testing and results.
• Interpret analytical data and clearly communicate results, deviations, and issues to appropriate stakeholders.
• Plan and organize daily laboratory activities to meet testing schedules and production timelines.
• Perform calibration, routine maintenance, and troubleshooting of laboratory instruments and equipment.
• Follow all laboratory safety, chemical hygiene, and environmental health practices.
• Develop proficiency in standard operating procedures (SOPs), test methods, and regulatory requirements.
• Work effectively in a “flow-to-the-work” team environment to support operational priorities.
• Maintain a clean, safe, and compliant laboratory workspace in collaboration with other team members.
• Perform peer review of analytical data and documentation.
• Assist with writing and revising SOPs as required.
• Adapt to changing priorities and take on additional responsibilities as needed to support organizational goals.

Required Skills and Qualifications

• Strong ability to multitask while maintaining accuracy and efficiency.
• Ability to work effectively under pressure and meet production deadlines.
• Clear verbal and written communication skills in English.
• Working knowledge of basic laboratory equipment and analytical techniques.
• Understanding of laboratory safety practices and chemical handling procedures.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications, including Word and Excel.
• Ability to perform laboratory testing while standing for extended periods.
• Strong attention to detail with the ability to produce accurate results on the first attempt.
• Ability to work collaboratively in a team-oriented laboratory environment.

• Onsite laboratory setting
• Hands-on analytical testing role
• Standing and handling chemicals of varying potency required

Education and Experience Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Chemistry, Biology, Chemical Engineering, or Life Sciences with no prior QC experience
• OR
• Bachelor’s degree in another discipline with relevant experience in a Quality Control laboratory environment.
