A Registered Nurse (RN) in the Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU) provides expert nursing care to critically ill newborns, utilizing clinical knowledge and nursing processes to ensure optimal patient outcomes. The role involves assessing, planning, implementing, and evaluating patient care while acting as a patient advocate, mentor, and leader within the clinical setting. This position requires specialized NICU experience, state licensure, and certifications including BLS, NRP, and STABLE, and offers comprehensive benefits and professional development opportunities.

Schedule Requirements (including weekends, holidays): Three (3) 12's each week and every third weekend rotation

Additional Information/Department information: The RN utilizes the nursing process in assessing, planning, implementing, and evaluating the nursing care of patients from admission to department through discharge or transfer. Provides expert care and education to patients in clinical setting, acts as patient advocate, leader, and mentor for assistive personnel. The RN is knowledgeable in clinical nursing procedures, disease processes, interventions, and pharmacological agents. Manages patient loads in assigned timelines.
