We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Senior Accountant to join our team in the Construction industry. This is a permanent role offering a unique opportunity to contribute to our company's financial growth and stability. The ideal candidate will be responsible for conducting cost analyses, managing cash flow, maintaining ledger accounts, and overseeing accounts payable. This role requires a high level of financial acumen, attention to detail, and a strong understanding of the construction industry.

Responsibilities:

1. Conducting thorough cost analyses to ensure financial efficiency and profitability.
2. Overseeing and managing company-wide cash flow while identifying potential financial risks or discrepancies.
3. Maintaining and updating ledger accounts for accuracy and compliance with financial regulations.
4. Managing accounts payable (AP) to ensure timely and accurate payment processing.
5. Preparing detailed financial reports and statements for senior management, highlighting key financial indicators and trends.
6. Assisting with budget preparation and financial planning processes.
7. Ensuring compliance with state and federal regulatory requirements and professional standards.
8. Collaborating with external auditors to ensure successful audit results and compliance.
9. Interacting with various departments and providing financial insights to help drive business decisions.

Qualifications:

1. Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field. A Master's degree or CPA certification is a plus.
2. A minimum of 5 years of experience in accounting, preferably in the construction industry.
3. Demonstrated skills in cost analysis, financial reporting, cash flow management, ledger maintenance, and accounts payable.
4. Proficient in accounting software and MS Office Suite, particularly in Excel.
5. Strong understanding of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP) and financial regulations.
6. Exceptional analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex financial data and provide actionable insights.
7. Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
8. Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously and meet deadlines.
9. Self-motivated and able to work independently as well as part of a team.
10. High level of integrity and dependability with a strong sense of urgency and results-orientation.
