**Job Title: Cook for Senior Living**
**Job Overview:**
We are looking for a dedicated and skilled Cook to join our esteemed senior living community. The ideal candidate will possess a passion for preparing delicious and nutritious meals tailored to the dietary needs of our residents. As a Cook, you will play a crucial role in enhancing the quality of life for seniors through culinary excellence and service.
**Key Responsibilities:**
- Prepare and serve meals that adhere to the nutritional guidelines and dietary restrictions of residents.
- Plan and create weekly menus in collaboration with the nutritionist and kitchen staff.
- Maintain a clean and organized kitchen environment in compliance with health and safety regulations.
- Monitor food inventory and coordinate with the kitchen manager to ensure a well-stocked pantry.
- Assist in the training and supervision of kitchen assistants to ensure smooth kitchen operations.
- Engage with residents to receive feedback on meal preferences and enhance the dining experience.
- Participate in community events and special dietary planning as needed.
**Qualifications:**
- Proven experience as a cook or chef, preferably within a senior living, healthcare, or hospitality setting.
- Comprehensive knowledge of culinary techniques, food safety, and nutrition.
- Ability to prepare a variety of meal types, including special diets (e.g., low-sodium, diabetic-friendly).
- Strong organizational and multitasking skills.
- Excellent communication and teamwork capabilities.
- Flexibility to work various shifts, including weekends and holidays.
- Culinary certification or degree is a plus.
