Job Title: Shopify Developer
Location: Fully remote but in the US, EST or Central preferred
Type: Long Term Contract
The ideal candidate will have 3 to 7 years of experience in developing and maintaining e-commerce websites on the Shopify platform. You will be responsible for the development and maintenance of high-quality, user-friendly e-commerce websites that support the needs of our clients. Our team is responsible for the websites of some of the top direct to consumer brands.
Key Responsibilities:
Develop and Maintain Shopify Stores: Manage Shopify themes and templates. Ensure the functionality, performance, and scalability of Shopify stores.
Customization and Integration: Customize Shopify themes and integrate third-party applications and APIs to enhance store functionality and performance.
UI/UX Design: Collaborate with designers to implement responsive and visually appealing UI/UX designs.
Performance Optimization: Optimize site performance, ensuring fast load times and seamless user experiences.
Troubleshooting and Debugging: Identify and fix bugs and issues in Shopify stores. Provide technical support and troubleshooting as needed.
Coding Quality and Best Practices: Write clean, maintainable, and efficient code. Adhere to coding standards and best practices.
Collaboration: Work closely with cross-functional teams, including designers, project managers, and other developers, to deliver high-quality solutions.
Client Communication: Communicate with clients as needed to understand their requirements and provide solutions to solve for their needs.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
Experience: 3 to 7 years of experience as a Shopify Developer.
Technical Skills:
Proficiency in Shopify platform and Liquid programming language.
Strong knowledge of HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and jQuery.
Experience with Shopify's API and third-party integrations.
Familiarity with version control systems, such as Git.
Knowledge of SEO best practices and web performance optimization.
Design Skills: Experience with responsive design and mobile-first development.
Problem-Solving: Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Team Player: Ability to work effectively in a collaborative team environment.
Attention to Detail: Strong attention to detail and a commitment to delivering high-quality work.
Preferred Qualifications:
Experience with WordPress or other e-commerce platforms (e.g., WooCommerce, Magento).
Understanding of digital marketing and e-commerce strategies.
