Position: Substance Abuse Counselor (RESIDENTIAL, IOP, PHP, OP)
Employment Type: Full-Time
Are you passionate about making a difference in the lives of individuals struggling with substance use? TIME Organization is seeking a dedicated, full-time Substance Abuse Counselor to join our dynamic behavioral health team. This role supports clients in Intensive Outpatient (IOP), Partial Hospitalization (PHP), and Outpatient (OP) levels of care.
Key Responsibilities:
Provide individual and group counseling to clients with substance use disorders.
Conduct comprehensive assessments, develop individualized treatment plans, and document progress.
Facilitate psychoeducational and relapse prevention groups.
Coordinate care with multidisciplinary team members including case managers, therapists, and medical staff.
Maintain accurate and timely documentation in accordance with agency policies and regulatory requirements.
Support clients in achieving recovery goals and improving quality of life.
Qualifications:
Certified Addictions Counselor (CAC-AD, CSC-AD, or equivalent credential recognized in the state).
Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in a related field preferred.
Minimum of 1 year experience working with substance use populations in clinical settings.
Strong understanding of co-occurring disorders and trauma-informed care.
Ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced, client-centered environment.
Excellent communication, documentation, and organizational skills.
