**Overview:**
We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Emergency Department Nurse to join our dynamic team in a high-volume Emergency Department setting. The ideal candidate will possess a strong nursing background, display excellent teamwork skills, and be flexible to work across various sections within the ER.
**Responsibilities:**
- Provide direct patient care in the Emergency Department, adhering to best practices and protocols.
- Utilize a variety of medical equipment including Baxter pumps and GE monitors.
- Maintain accurate and timely documentation using the Cerner system.
- Effectively communicate with patients and families, following the AIDET framework (Acknowledge, Introduce, Duration, Explanation, Thank You).
- Participate in patient triage and exhibit respectful behavior towards all patients and staff.
- Collaborate with a multi-disciplinary team to ensure comprehensive patient care.
**Qualifications:**
- Current RN license with a minimum of 2 years of nursing experience, including at least 1 year in an Emergency Department setting.
- Experience in a Level 2 trauma center or a comprehensive stroke center is preferred.
- Previous experience with HCA (Hospital Corporation of America) is a plus.
- Certification in ACLS, BLS, PALS, TNCC, CPI, NIHSS, and ENPC (ENPC certification required within 90 days of hire).
- Strong teamwork mentality and ability to provide constructive feedback in real-time.
- Must be adaptable and willing to float within all sections of the ED as needed.

- Navy scrubs are required as the standard uniform.
**Additional Information:**
This position requires commitment to scheduling every other weekend and must meet the department's needs without the option of block scheduling.
