**Job Title: Emergency Room Registered Nurse (ER RN)**
**Job Description:**
We are currently seeking a qualified and dedicated Emergency Room Registered Nurse (ER RN) to join our team. This is an exciting opportunity for a passionate healthcare professional to work in a dynamic environment delivering care to a diverse patient population.
**Key Responsibilities:**
- Provide high-quality patient care in a fast-paced emergency department.
- Assess patients with a variety of acute conditions, including but not limited to abdominal pain, respiratory infections, trauma, and mental health crises.
- Administer medications, monitor vital signs, and manage intravenous therapies as needed.
- Collaborate with an interdisciplinary team, including physicians, nursing staff, and various specialists to ensure comprehensive patient care.
- Triage patients effectively to prioritize care based on condition severity.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date medical records using the Epic charting system.
- Participate in patient education and counseling regarding health management and illness prevention.
- Ensure compliance with safety regulations and hospital policies.
**Shift Details:**
- Alternating Night/Mid shifts (11a-11p) every other weekend.
- Night 4x12-Hour shifts (19:00 - 07:30) and Day 4x12-Hour shifts (11:00 - 23:30).
**Qualifications:**
- Current New York (NY) nursing license is required.
- Minimum of 1 year of experience as an ER RN.
- Previous charge experience is preferred.
- Certifications required: ACLS, BLS, CPI, NIHSS, PALS, TNCC, TRUST, CPIM.
- Proficiency in the Epic charting system is a hard requirement.
- Experience with community hospitals and a variety of patient age groups including adolescents, infants, adults, pediatrics, and geriatrics is preferred.
- Strong skills in managing acute conditions, triage, and patient assessment.
**Unit Information:**
- The emergency department contains 11 beds with a separate CPEP unit for behavioral health crises.
- Our facility serves a diverse patient population, handling a large volume of emergency visitations with a daily census of approximately 40 patients.
**Additional Information:**
Candidates must be available to float as needed. Preference will be given to travelers with experience in Emergency Medicine.
