Assignment & Scheduling Details:

• Duration: 12 Weeks
• Start Date: November 4, 2025
• End Date: January 26, 2026
• Shift Type: Rotating Day/Evening Shifts
• Schedule Pattern: 5x8s (8-hour shifts)
• Scheduling Note: Block scheduling is NOT available. Must be flexible to work the assigned rotating schedule.
• Overtime (OT): Daily OT after 24 hours; Weekly OT after 40 hours.
• On-Call: No on-call is required.
• Holidays: Must work every other major holiday.

Job Summary:

Seeking an experienced Psychiatric Registered Nurse for a 12-week assignment in the Inpatient Psychiatry Float Pool. This critical role involves floating across various inpatient behavioral health units, requiring a highly adaptable, seasoned professional capable of managing diverse patient populations and providing exceptional mental health care. Candidates must possess strong leadership skills, with prior Charge RN capability highly preferred.

 

Unit Details & Responsibilities

• Unit: Inpatient Psych Float Pool.
• Floating: Floating to different inpatient psychiatric units is required based on facility needs.
• Patient Care: Provide trauma-informed, therapeutic, and culturally responsive nursing care to adult patients with acute psychiatric disorders, substance abuse issues, and co-occurring medical comorbidities.
• Documentation: Utilize the EPIC Electronic Medical Record system for all charting and documentation.
• Dress Code: Scrub color is flexible ( Any color ).

Submission Requirements (Mandatory)

To be considered for this position, the following documentation must be submitted:

1. Resume: Must be up-to-date and clearly document 1+ year of experience in the psychiatric specialty.
2. Travel History: Resume must document prior travel experience (or equivalent float pool experience demonstrating adaptability).
3. References: Two (2) recent Charge RN, Manager, or Supervisor references that match the specialty.
4. Skills Checklist: Must be completed and match the psychiatric specialty experience.
5. Driver's License: A copy of the driver's license with an address that matches the candidate's demographics.
6. Certifications: Current AHA BLS (Basic Life Support) certification is required.
7. Licensure: Active Massachusetts (MA) RN license must be verified via a NURSYS Report pulled within the last 7 days, showing all current and past licenses.
8. Requested Time Off (RTO): All RTO must be included at the time of submission and will not be guaranteed after confirmation.
