Job Description\n

American Traveler is seeking an experienced Operating Room RN with Level 1 Trauma and Neuro expertise for a 13-week contract requiring a WA or compact RN license and BLS certification.

\n \n Responsibilities\n

• Position is in a 25-bed Level 1 Trauma Center Operating Room at a major teaching hospital
• Patient population is primarily Ortho, Spine, and Neuro surgery; no Cardiac or Transplant cases
• Schedule consists of 4x10 hour mid shifts with variable start times of 8:45 am or 10:45 am
• Weekend shifts are required and schedule flexibility is expected
• No on-call or floating required within scope
• Uses Pyxis for medication dispensing and Epic for charting; Epic experience required
• Locals are accepted with no radius restriction
• Staff wear facility-provided scrubs
• Travelers highly preferred to work during Christmas holiday; only one major holiday off permitted with a maximum of 6 RTO days
• Orientation is provided with Epic modules completed during orientation
• Prior staff must be separated from the facility for at least 18 months before returning as a traveler
• All candidates must provide two references, preferably supervisory or charge
• Parking is not included and offsite options are available with weekday shuttle service

• Active WA or compact RN license required and must be in hand at submission
• BLS certification required
• Minimum 2 years OR RN experience required, including Level 1 Trauma and Neuro experience; 3-4 years preferred
• Circulating skills are required
• COVID vaccination and booster are required with no exceptions
• Epic EMR experience required
• Completion of 6-hour suicide prevention training and demographic submission through WA BON if using compact license
• First-time travelers are accepted
• Must pass a pre-assignment EKG test with a score of 80% or higher
