Trusts & Estates Associate - New York

Our client, an Am Law 100 law firm, is seeking an experienced Trusts and Estates associate to join their Private Wealth & Family Office Practice Group. This position is based out of the firm’s New York City office.

The estimated salary range for this position is $225,000 - $235,000 (annually) and may vary depending on experience and other factors.

Qualifications:

• 2+ years of experience with estate planning and trust and estate administration, including work on large estates with complicated tax plans; preparation of Federal and State estate tax returns, probate documents and Surrogate’s Court related filings
• Prior experience in a sophisticated law firm is preferred
• Knowledge of estate and trust income taxation and estate taxation is preferred
• Ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously while working in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment
• Ability to analyze issues and possess strong research and writing skills
• Ability to exercise discretion and maintain confidentiality of sensitive information
• Excellent academic credentials, analytical skills and verbal and written communications skills
• A Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school
• Admitted to the New York State Bar (or able to become admitted) and in good standing
